Okay.. this has really been the busiest day of my whole CGH life. I didn't even do a SINGLE medication packing for the day! I'm not sure if it is a good thing or a bad thing, cause doing surveys just suck all the same!
9am - role call 9.30 to 3pm - CGH party organisation (thanx to the STUPID printer, that had to waste so much paper and our time!) 3pm to 4pm - CGH project survey 4pm to 5.30pm - MP survey 5.30pm to 6pm - Controlled drug handling with Serene at the wards 6pm to 7.30pm - TPN ward rounds with the doctors
...from 3pm it was a mad rush larh... could hardly catch my breath. But i love Inpatient still!(:
Today's TPN ward rounds was just AWESOME. Went with team of 2 doctors, 1 dietian and 1 pharmacist to visit about 8 cases, all from different wards. Their diagnosis and discussions were really interesting, though half the time they were using terminologies which left me with 101 question marks... but the doctors were really kind enough to explain the whole situation and the diagnosis using layman terms. The pharmacist too, was soo nice to go through with me some of the patients' casenotes after the whole session. Went to the ICU wards and even the prison wards, a fulfilling experience(: i'm glad!(:
Next week.... to the psychy wards!(: Hope i get to see interesting cases too!
