Mooncake festival!
Tuesday, September 25, 2007 3:44:00 am

lets see.... i spent the weekends slacking at home... last sat, i watched "Final Destination 3" and "The Da Vinci code" on HBO channel....then last sun, watched "The bourne identity" from 730 to 930pm.. then "Constantine" from 10pm to 12.30pm.. then just managed the 2nd half of the soccer match between Man U and chelsea..until about 1 plus....haha... was a really TV packed weekend!! i don't normally indulge in TV unless there is nice movies!(: or interesting documentary or taiwan variety shows(:

Yesterday, ugene and i went to parkway to meet QH!! missed her loads(: i tell u, ugene and Qh can talk NON-STOP!! suaning me..is not an exception mann!hahah.... After that watched "Balls of Fury" with QH... it was not bad a show... funny is funny la.... i would give it a 3.5/5 stars...since i watched the preview, i will not be a spoiler for those that want to watch it when it comes out..haha! So yeah... its abit unpractical...like most movies... it doesn't really contain much touching moments, like duhz... its a COMEDY!.LOLOL!!!.. soooo... what now? ping pong has became the talk of chinatown hey?!haha..

Last night, when i was on the way home.. i received a very shocking news from my brother.. so i flew like a rocket all the way to tan tock seng hospital... reached home only at about 2.30am... gee mann... i'm soooo tired! talking about this, i'm sooo sorry fathappyfamily, i couldn't make it for today's celebration, have an emergency at home...

Today is MOON CAKE FESTIVAL!(: Hope everyone has a very happy and merry moon cake festival!(:

Everybody knows the story behind the mooncake rite? change er, hou yi and the pill of immortality?!!! and chang er floating to the moon, cause she ate the pill and became too light.... if u don't know.... u CHINESE NOT ARH???!!!!!!whaha!!! neh.. just joking... but there is soooo many stories behind the mooncake.. there is also the one about hiding the secret messages in the mooncake, when the villages wanted to uprise against the king in china back then..... also about the chinese writings on all the mooncake was to be pieced together like a jigsaw puzzle to form a very big message, also for the uprising against the king... then the mooncakes were to be eaten to destroy all the evidence! i think i wouldn't mind helping to destroy the evidence!muahahaha!!!

Talking about mooncakes... has anyone tried the moon cake filled with the thick creamy icecream....coated with a thin layer of freshly melted, yet hardened to perfection, dark seductive chocolate.... to give it a soothing, earthly feel, yet light on the taste buds!! lol..okay yah..i'm pushing it!lol.. cause i havent tried it yet!

But the last time i was at Taka viewing the mooncakes with siti.. the mooncake really caught our eyes! its interesting how, flavours of all sorts come about...ofcourse the original lotus paste still is the apple of the eye.... but everyone wants improvision! durian paste, green tea, macadamia nuts, chocolate, icecream, red bean, its endless!!!..Its a marketing strategy, think practical... its business!!! think traditional... mooncakes has lost its acutal meaning behind it... due to the increasing flavours...
