Actually, i was not really intending to blog, cause nothing much besides band happened today...
But!!! i was watching the news just now and this particular funny news headlines caught my attention... It was about nuns being found in a casino not really sure which country...cause i was busy laughing away. They were reported trying out some casino machines and having fun at dealing tables. But they claimed that no gambling was involved and that it was just mere curiousity on the nuns' side.
No... i was not laughing about how they got there, or why they shouldn't have been there...after all they did get into abit of trouble at the catholic's side, and it has become a controversial topic.....but i was laughing cause it reminded me of the 1992 comedy movie hit... SISTER ACT 1!!!! HAHAHA!!! so missing that show...i probably watched that show 4 times already... And in that movie, it contained a funny scene where there were nuns running everywhere in the casino. Thats why it got me bawling with laughter on the sofa when i saw a similar scene, but this time in real life, on the news!LOL!!! Cause you would never expect it to happen in reality.
Anyway, for those who have not watched sister act before, i highly recommend it....it has been my favourite movie all these years. There is both sister act 1 and sister act 2, and both of which are starring Whoopi Goldberg. The show may be abit old....considering that it was filmed in 1992, more than 10 years ago, but, this comedy is really to die for!haha..i first watched the show in 1996 in aust and i have been watching it over and over again...as it is being repeated both on aust and singapore tv... The show is actually about a singer who witnesses a mob crime, and so in order for the police to protect her, they hide her as a nun in a traditional convent where she has trouble fitting in. The comedy sparks as she lives a part of her life in the convent.
I really like Whoopi Goldberg's shows, cause with her in the show, there is always comedy....she always plays a witty character and the way she carries out her lines, just makes her so suited for comedy movies.
