Okay..so i went for band early in the morning...reached school pretty early cause daddy had to send our whole family all over Singapore at different destinations, so well....i went to school even before the band room was even open....met si hua first...then followed by others like randy...and qh...then finally! band room opened...rather late..LOL...
Anyway, Mr tan had to attend an NIE band workshop, so band was only from 10am to 1.30pm... had sectionals first...and yes...WINNIE...had personally tutored me on my tongueing....LOL...but lucky qh followed me too:).... i duno who is right....my senior or winnie?haha.. my senior told me... normal tongue-ing notes...can tongue with air....but stagatto would require you to tongue with the tongue....but winnie...said...every tongue-ing note needs to be tongued with the tongue...*confused*.....and ofcourse...i have been tongue-ing with air for like...5 yrs already...suddenly i have to tongue with the tongue...it is not easy lah...LOL...especially all the fast rhythm...struggling...
Had full band after that...we played noah's ark, persis and into the joy of spring....and the band sounded pretty bad....was super...super...super messy....Jade even said the clarinet section could not even be heard..LOL! that is what happens when our power player ken is not around..haha!! persis running notes...everyone anyhow play...LOL
After band...waited like half an hour for 518 to come....me and qh then met ken at shaw house..and we ate lunch...heard that he was the youngest player at the NIE workshop..while the rest of the players where all "lao jiao" haha! all band directors...haha..not band arh...ken...somemore selected by DAVID GLOSZ!!! pei fu...pei fu...
After eating...we 3 bought a "The straits times"...and sat right at the entrance of the hotel next to tangs...and opened the classified to looks for jobs..haha!! really funny...who goes to orchard to read newspapers?haha! we spent like an hour flipping through the pages...and calling...and calling for vacancies...as we were concentrating...our noses were sniffing the nice fragrant and heavenly...aroma of.....BAH KWA..haha!!! cause we sat just outside the shop...so every now and then when the wind blew... we got carried away by the distinct fragrance of bah kwa...awaiting for the next chinese new year to fly by... though it is gonna be long wait...
