HAHA!!! rest assure...this entry will not be as long as the previous one...so u can take out all those scotch tape u placed around your eyes to prevent them from dangling out of their sockets...haha!:) well...guess what this pathetic girl did today? obviously i have lots of time...thats why i am filling up the empty time..blogging..haha..
Well...i went out with my mother today...yes...u didn't hear it wrongly...i actually when out with my mother...1 on 1...today...SURPRISE!!...i was, ofcourse extremely reluctant to go...but my uncreative or rather...lame excuses didn't make it past my mother's quick mind..and sharp mouth...so i had no choice but to drag myself out of the suddenly so heavy front door (you know...u get those feelings when it takes great pains to even pull yourself to the front door when u don't wish to go out? it feels that the door is super heavy....the floor is ice slippery..and it seems that everything is pulling u back...but u have no choice but to lunged out?....err...i think you get the point)....yah...so anyway...in case those who are reading my blog and do not know the DANGERS....or rather..the MENTAL TORTURE i go through when i an out with her...well...well today will be an perfect example...here goes:
Well the main thing my mother wanted to shop for was oven...stove...coooker hood...bed and wardrobes for the new house...boring as it may sound...imagine going shopping with her...its even worst...i don't get a say in anything lah..so i am just like a dog on a leash...following her around here and there...i only got a say in the stove selection...cause i do the cooking...but...okay...first things first...the process i went through to reach the several destinations:
1) My mother just merely told me..."Go find where loyang way 1 is....and guide me".....so i painstakingly directed her to the place which was in the EAST....with only the help of a 9 year old street directory...and a veryveryveryvery impatient mother... well...what more could i say? firstly...the place was in the EAST! its bad enough that the roads were undoubtly unfamilar and alien to me...and the directory is soooo old...that many buildings stated there were long demolished, while many buildings built recently were nt printed.But what made it worst was my mother's bad and reckless driving...lol...while i was under immense pressure (with the all the qns shot from my mother... "where do i filter off from the PIE?", "do i turn left or right?", "Are u sure u are correct??"), and was concentrating with all my brain power on the road map and the direction signs along the road....there she was....BRAKING THE CAR EVERY NOW AND THEN! she probably braked the car more than a 100 times the whole journey!Mann!!! it felt even worst then being on a roller coaster for an hour!!!! if it wasnt for the blasting aircon and lush green trees along the street..i would have probably puked out my lunch!LOLx!!!
2) After doing our stove shopping....my mother again...gave a mere order..."How to get to IKEA and Courts from here?" WTH!!! why is all the destinations revolving around the east?? i felt as though i was sitting for some geography map reading test...except more pressurising...cause the freaking map is not a whole piece...but in a book...and having to flip the pages....all over the place...but hey...since it is along tamp ave 10....haha..i made my mother drive past TP...haha..so that i could get my orientation right...LOL...cause school is the place i am most familar with in the east..:) so only from there i managed to direct her....LOL...that stupid crappy old directory was not much of a help...cause according to the book...which was published 9 years ago..there was no buildings along tamp ave 10!...lol...
3) So here is the gist of it all....The way back home...she just had to make my life difficult...very difficult! reason being...i only travel to and fro from school...using the PIE...and no other route....so this very "ma fan" woman....gave me this instruction.." How to go back home from here? i want to take the ECP...then go to AYE.....then from there how to go home?"...i was like....HUH??? WTH!!! DO YOU THINK I AM SOME WALKING PORTABLE TALKING STREET DIRECTORY???!!! WHO KNOWS THE WAY TO EVERYWHERE??.....ofcourse i didnt say it to her lah..i would be courting death...but...come on mann..if u ask me go somewhere in west...i might have a slight clue....but....in the east...i know nuts about it!!!
But before i could even flip to find where the hell to filter into ECP expressway, she started driving....asking me for directions....how i was i suppose to tell her where to turn when i haven even flipped to the pages on the directory...and the roads were so unfamilar to me.....i started to panic...having so many page numbers to remember...cause the stupid pages are all over the place...and i just couldnt find the stupid ECP and AYE...and i didn't know how to end up there....so i just directed her to PIE...LOL! and yes...she was furious.....and i had a whole half an hour scolding in the car...LOLx...as usual...
Yeaps...so thats all in a day out..with my mother...lolx...STRESSFUL it is...but i know next time how to spark up a lethargic brain...the thought of going out with my mother is enough to ignite a blast of acetylcholine to all the nerves in my body...and wake me up!LOL!
woah...opps...i think i typed a long entry?...looks like maybe the scotch tapes may come in handy again..haha!! try using super glue the next time round..
Oh yeah! i forgot to mention...haha!! i managed to sew back my doggie's favourite soft toy!:) He loved that soft toy so much that he brought it around the house everywhere he went. Ofcourse the soft toy didn't last long...knowing his playful and rough character...Toby...pulled out all the stuffing in the soft toy...haha!!! so today..i helped him stuff back all the stuffings..YIPPEE!!!...and sewed it all back....so now....toby has his favourite toy once more!!! YAYNESS!:)
